普段何気なく食べていた動物性たんぱく質を中心とした食事が多くの動物の犠牲と地球環境に負荷をかけていることを知り、日常的に菜食を取り入れるように。健康への影響も学ぶ中で、愛犬のご飯も見直すことに。犬の健康に一番いいフードの追及を始め、プラントベースの食事に行きつく。
国内で買えるのはドライフードのみだったため、手作りご飯の探求を開始。海外のヴィーガン獣医師や動物栄養士からのアドバイスと本、論文を読み漁り、栄養バランスが整った愛犬が喜ぶプラントベースのご飯を開発。かなり食通な愛犬もおねだりするご飯ができたのと、毛並みや便の改善などプラントベースの良さを実感。犬の健康促進に役立ち、動物の命を犠牲にせず、地球にも優しい、そんなエシカルフードがもっと世の中にあったらと起業を決意。
